Doesn’t take enough things seriously but is incredibly serious about people enjoying themselves. Merrick is a people person and is at his happiest watching his friends perform to people drinking wine and creating memories. He is also incredibly good at making a 30 minute meeting go for 90 mins. 

Merrick is also a wine expert, holding a WSET 3 in wines – a professional qualification awarded by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. He’s a Barossa Master [a qualification awarded by Barossa Wine School] and has qualifications to judge wine at shows. Not just a funny guy.

General Manager

Jason has extensive experience in large events and a long history of working with and within the wine industry. Jason is the one to talk to about getting stuff done. He is all the things Merrick is not. 

Festival Director

Has a tonne of event experience across all styles of events and festivals, but with more than 7 years specialising in comedy, he is the perfect fit for our little wine circus. He loves comedy, he loves wine and he loves people!

Marketing & Content

Part photographer, part video maker, part designer, part marketer. Saige wears a lot of hats and is responsible for capturing the moments that make Grapes of Mirth what it is. When he’s not behind a camera, he’s behind a screen making everything look a little prettier.

Producer

Jess has spent the better part of a decade producing comedy shows, festivals and tours with some of Australia’s biggest names. At Grapes of Mirth she’s the one making sure artists, crew, venues and schedules all play nicely together. Organised, unflappable and armed with more spreadsheets than anyone should own, she’s the reason the show goes on.
