Grapes of Mirth is bringing six of Australia’s very best comedians, Tommy Little, Mel Buttle, Rhys Nicholson, Pete Helliar, Merrick Watts and Urvi Majumdar pairing world-class comedy with local winemakers, great food, our travelling DJ and a huge sunset dancefloor. Whether they’re delivering sold-out stand-up, starring in Fisk, judging RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under or popping up on seemingly every great TV show in the country, they bring unmatched wit, style and brilliantly unpredictable energy. Equal parts clever, biting and outrageously funny, Rhys is one of those rare performers who can bring a room undone with a single sentence.

A bright star on the Australian stand-up circuit, Urvi Majumdar has performed to sold-out crowds across the country, earning a reputation for razor-sharp observations and effortless stage presence.
She’s also known for her screen work on Fisk and Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont-Spelling Bee, as well as creating her own online series Urvi Went to an All Girls School.

Our party host, personal sommelier and chief idiot. By this point, we don’t think we need to introduce Mez. Grapes of Mirth founder and Head Clown, Wine Wanker, and the reason this is all happening. He’s also our MC.

Australia’s Biggest Comedy & Wine Party

The format is simple: A comedy gala split across three comedy brackets. In between, there’s seriously good local wine to drink, delicious food to smash, a dancefloor to hit and plenty of sunshine to soak up.

Before, between and after the comedy, DJ Pedro Moshman will light up the dancefloor so you can dance the night away.

The Mountain Pour

Kick off your day with an optional 90-minute Meet the Makers Wine & Spirit tasting.

You’ll taste six premium wines or spirits, while meeting the producers behind them. Hosted by several of the regions best wineries and Cauldron Distillery, this tasting is the perfect way to discover the stories, people and wines that have made the region famous.

The tasting concludes just as the festival begins, making it the perfect start to your Grapes of Mirth experience.
