Lineup

Judith is a best-selling, award winning stand-up comedian, selling out huge venues across the country, playing theatres in big cities and across the regions. Rivetingly honest, with a Gatling gun gag rate, she is quite simply, comedy royalty.

Judith Lucy

An award-winning stand-up comedian/actor/writer/broadcaster/person who always gives 100%. He’s one of Australia’s hottest comic talents, he’s performed and won acclaim all around the world; Edinburgh, Montreal, London, and he even once roast-battled Jimmy Carr and didn’t die in the process. His list of awards are many and extensive and include the Helpmann Award for Best Show and the Pinder Prize, both at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. And boy, do we miss him hosting ABC’s ‘Tonightly with Tom Ballard’.

Tom Ballard

Over the last decade, Claire has been captivating audiences and touring brilliant solo shows across the country to critical acclaim. She’s also co-host of ‘The Great Australian Bake Off’ for Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel alongside the seriously funny Mel Buttle, as well as judges Maggie Beer and Matt Moran and their fourth season aired in 2019.

Claire Hooper

Thorno is, without question, Australia’s best MC. He will be steering the ship at the Grapes of Mirth comedy Galas. He spent lockdown creating hilarious videos and working on his editing skills, but on the main stage is where he belongs.

Dave Thornton

Alex is a regular on ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’, a writer for ‘The Project’ and one of Australia’s most exciting comedy talents. Pedestrian.tv described her as “Irreverent without being too dry and extremely engaging. Totally brilliant” and we couldn’t agree more. Alex made her blistering Melbourne International Comedy Festival Opening Night Gala debut in 2021 and is now making her Grapes of Mirth debut as well, it’s a big year!

Alex Ward

Dane Simpson was a Deadly Funny national finalist in 2015; since then, it has been a fast-rising trajectory for this Wagga based comedian with a whirlwind of gigs, tours, and festival runs – as both a solo artist and as part of Aborigi-LOL. Dane has appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’, ‘Get Krackin’, and in feature film rom-com ‘The Merger.’
There is also a sizeable mural of Dane on the side of a Wagga building alongside soccer champion Jada Whyman.

DJ Pedro Moshman is no ordinary DJ, there’s a reason why we take him around the country to all our Grapes of Mirth events. His ‘DJ Super Powers’ allow him to know what song to play, when to play it, and whom to play it for! The end result? Entertainment between comedy acts, and a dance party to finish off the day.

Experiences

Brown Brothers in Milawa

Welcome to Brown Brothers, one of Australia’s leading family-owned wineries. They have been making wine in Milawa for 130 years, and while they’re proud of their traditions, they’re not a traditional wine company; otherwise, we (the comedians) would never have received an invitation! They love a laugh – so, pull up a chair, or picnic rug and join us in their beautiful grounds to enjoy some of Australia’s biggest comedy names for an afternoon of music, food, wine and laughter.
