Georgie is the best thing to come out of Adelaide since Nippy’s Iced Coffee. She’s had a huge year, recording a Stand Up special for Network 10, as well as making regular appearances on TV shows like ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’, ‘The Project’, and ‘Hughesy We Have A Problem’. Now Georgie is making her debut on the Grapes of Mirth stage.

Dil is one of the most in demand headliners on the Australian comedy scene, with a reputation for consistently nailing his shows with his positive, upbeat brand of stand-up. Dil has recorded two stand-up specials, one for the ABC and the second for Amazon Prime which was released globally in 2020. He has also featured in Amazon’s smash hit program ‘LOL: Last One Laughing Australia’ alongside Rebel Wilson, and the 2021 series of ‘Celebrity Masterchef’.

Lehmo’s live work has seen him headline at comedy clubs for well over fifteen years and work all corners of the globe – he is also the country’s number one ‘combat comic’, having completed seven ‘tours of duty’.

It’s Time To Head For The Hills!

Howard Vineyard is a family-owned Adelaide Hills winery set amongst towering gum trees, and terraced lawns. Pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc are sourced from their 470m altitude Schoenthal ‘Beautiful Valley’ Vineyard, near Lobethal, whilst Howard’s Nairne Vineyard, in the warmer Mt Barker district is home to shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. All the wines are estate-grown.

The Adelaide Hills is one of Australia’s most exciting wine regions and more than just the wine, it’s a way of thinking – they welcome the new and challenge the traditions with a youthful confidence.

Howard Vineyard’s Cellar Door and Restaurant is located just 35 minutes out of the Adelaide CBD.

The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Laughter

One of Adelaide’s treasures, the Adelaide Hills, is literally on the doorstep to Adelaide.

Howard Vineyard have the perfect grounds to host an afternoon of comedy, wine, and music entertainment. Lush expansive lawn areas, an awesome restaurant, a modern cellar door and even a shed bar! And, Onsite parking aplenty, but we’ll also be running buses from the city for those that don’t want to play rock paper scissors to decide who’s driving.

Enjoy some delicious locally sourced produce throughout the event with a glass or three of Howard Vineyard’s wines. Plenty of food will be on offer for the day. Go for a gourmet picnic hamper or enjoy some of Asian inspired food that head Chef Cookie is renowned for, including DUMPLINGS, need we say more? Gourmet grazing at its best! The bar will be fully stocked with your favourite Adelaide Hills wines as well as local beers, cider, soft drinks and coffee.

We have a travelling DJ, his name is Pedro Moshman, we never leave home without him – he’ll keep the festival vibe going between sets and after the comedy show. Bring your dancing shoes, you’ll regret it if you don’t.

FAQ

What happens if the event is canceled or postponed due to COVID?

100% refundable ticket for any COVID reason including State or Federal Government directive not to travel, to isolate, or for the reason of COVID related illness.

What COVID safe measures will be in place?

This is an outdoor event and we have plenty of space to ensure everyone can socially distance themselves. We will adhere to all local government health and safety regulations to ensure we deliver a COVID safe event. On arrival, you’ll also be asked to scan the event’s QR code and enter your details.

Is there allocating seating at the event?

The event does not have allocated seating. Bring your favorite picnic blanket or chair and just pick your spot for the day.

Can I leave the event and come back later?

We do not provide pass-outs at the event. Please bring everything with you that you will require on the day.

Can I smoke at the event?

Yes, but you must stick to the designated smoking area, and please ensure you use the ashtrays.

What time does it all start and finish?

We will release a full schedule closer to the event, but gates will open at 11:45am, with the comedy starting from 1:00pm. DJ Pedro Moshman will play his last track just before 6:00pm, which is the official end time.

What about car parking and bus services running to and from the event?

There will be on-site parking and there are return buses running from Adelaide CBD. Bus tickets are available when you purchase your tickets. Please check the departure locations and times to ensure they suit your requirements.

What can I bring to the event, and what is prohibited?

We recommend you bring something to sit on (chair/blanket), a large brimmed hat, and something warm (depending on the final forecast). We’ve put together a kick-ass selection of food and beverages, so please don’t bring your own. Also, no hard eskies, but soft cooler bags with ice blocks is all good to keep your drinks cold throughout the day – and feel free to bring your own empty refillable drink bottles and / or sealed bottles of water. To look after the ecosystem of the vines we also ask that you don’t bring pets (official assist animals will be permitted). Also, no professional photography equipment.

Will there be shade?

This is an outdoor event, please prepare accordingly for all weather conditions. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for us to provide shade for all attendees. Depending on the final forecast, we will make further announcements to ensure that everyone is as comfortable as possible.

Can I bring a child?

This is an 18+ event due to the nature of the comedy and content, no children are permitted. If you have a dependent young baby that you would like to bring along, we ask that you email us to arrange this – [email protected]
