The Show

This is the first time the show has been performed outside of Australia or New Zealand, but for the last three years the show has toured extensively at home, with over 20,000 people joining Merrick to drink wine, laugh and potentially learn something along the way. With respected wine journalists, winemakers, hobbyist day drinkers, wine enthusiasts, and bourbon and coke drinkers all having a great time.

An Idiot’s Guide to Wine has sold out seasons at numerous prestigious festivals including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Brisbane Festival, Adelaide Fringe, and the New Zealand International Comedy Festival to name just a few.

As well as being one of Australia’s most recognisable entertainment stars, Merrick is also a qualified wine expert. He is a registered sommelier, has WSET level 3 qualifications and judges at world renowned wine shows, including the Barossa Wine Show.

An Idiot’s Guide to Wine is the merging of Merrick’s two great loves, with great wine, and great entertainment.
