As the curtain closes on this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the first run of An Idiot’s Guide to Wine: Volume 3 has officially wrapped and it might just be the best season yet!

Hitting Darwin, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, the show has once again wowed audiences, selling out countless nights and ‘edutaining’ a whole new crowd of comedy and wine lovers.

Volume 3 introduced new varietals, fresh wine regions, and hilarious stories, while staying true to the core concept that has made the show such a festival favourite: brilliant wines, top-class comedy and a touch of learning.

The audience response across the season was immense, with many calling it a standout festival experience, echoed in a five-star review from GLAM Adelaide, who described the show as “Merrick Watts is a comic genius and a top shelf sommelier — the perfect Fringe show for wine and comedy lovers.”
