For the uninitiated, An Idiot’s Guide to Wine is a wine tasting unlike any other. Each guest sips six wines, handpicked by Mez while he dishes out wine facts, food pairing suggestions and jokes about the French.
Merrick Watts returns to the Grand Electric with a brand-new wine tasting comedy show.
Mez (who, surprisingly, has genuine wine chops and, unsurprisingly, is an idiot) has been busy meticulously “researching” new wines for this latest show. It’s hard work, but someone’s got to do it.
Previous shows have been performed at arts festivals, wineries, town halls, casinos, and New Zealand shopping malls, but The Grand Electric is the most elegant of them all.
This is the perfect way to spend a sunny Sydney afternoon, with great mates, great wines, and great comedy.
In Volume 3, expect unexplored varietals, fresh wine regions and new stories. Everything’s new… except the idiot.
