Comedy and wine lovers of Queensland, rejoice! We’re on our way for the first time ever to the sunshine state bringing with us the finest comedy line-up to the Granite Belt region.

Set to take over Ballandean Estate on Saturday 18th September, we’ll be bringing the likes of Merrick Watts, Luke McGregor and Nikki Britton plus plenty of festival vibes with food, wine, beer and cider, and even a travelling DJ – because all good days should end with a boogie!

Your ticket will not only include entry to the event but a take home Grapes of Mirth glass to keep. You can pre-book antipasto platters, food hampers and bus transfers via the ticket link so your epic day out is all sorted ahead.

Also, we know COVID can make things uncertain at the moment (and quite frankly be a big pain in the arse!) but rest assured if this event needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to restrictions, we will refund your tickets.

If you like wine or comedy, or more specifically the outstanding combination of the two, then we look forward to hanging out with you soon! Show us what you’ve got Queensland!!

TV host, podcaster, and damn good comedian, Harley Breen’s presence guarantees a good time for all around. He’s got a voice like a chainsaw, which pairs perfectly with his lumberjack moustache – appropriate, as his comedy is strong enough to chop down trees.

DJ Pedro Moshman is no ordinary DJ, there’s a reason why we take him around the country to all our Grapes of Mirth events. His ‘DJ Super Powers’ allow him to know what song to play, when to play it, and whom to play it for! The end result? Entertainment between comedy acts, and a dance party to finish off the day.

Welcome to Queensland Wine Country

At 1000 metres elevation, the air seems fresher, the sky more blue. Discover a landscape of dramatic beauty and diversity with 4 distinct seasons – log fires (and occasional snow) in winter, cool summer nights where you can escape the swelter of the coast. The Granite Belt is not only the highest wine region in Australia, its unique terroir with its longer growing season and deep granitic gravels produces wines of elegance and complexity. The region also has a growing reputation as one of Australia’s top producers of alternative variety wines – known as Strange Birds. To be called an alternative, a variety must represent not more than 1% of the total bearing vines in Australia as defined by Wine Australia. Enjoyed in Europe for generations, these alternative varieties are now emerging as Australian favourites due to their ability to match perfectly with our food preferences.

Ballandean Estate
