Lineup

Celia Pacquola is a chameleon – a stand up comedian, writer and actor who springs effortlessly between stage and screen and has become one of our best-loved and most in-demand performers in any genre. Pretty much a Tassie local after creating and starring in five incredible seasons of ‘Rosehaven’, we couldn’t be happier to be bringing her to Josef Chromy.

Peter Helliar has been one of Australia’s favourite comedians since his first appearance on our TV screens on Rove back in 1999. Pete has performed stand up for more than twenty years, selling out shows right across the country, where he makes the difficult business of being funny look dead easy.

Whenever we can get Mel out of Brisbane and into wine country we do! She’s the absolute best, whether you know her from Bake Off, The Project, or as her internet persona “mum”, Mel’s at her absolute best on the Grapes of Mirth stage about three glasses of wine down (in our humble opinion).

Mel Buttle

Self-identifying bogan genius Brett Blake is a whip-smart, high-spirited stand up who has performed widely across Australia and the UK. A regular sell-out at the Melbourne International Comedy and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, Brett also starred on ‘Common Sense’ for Network 10, has a hand in Melbourne’s Comedy at Coopers Inn, is a regular visitor to ‘The Little Dum Dum Club’ and shares the reins on ‘Worst First Dates’ podcast with Kelly Fastuca.

Gillian Cosgriff is a musician and comedian, who has taken the comedy world by storm in 2023 with her critically acclaimed show Actually, Good . She’s toured the word to sell out shows and rave reviews and took out one of the world’s most prestigious comedy awards, the Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. We can’t wait to have Gillian and her keyboard on stage at Grapes of Mirth.

The “Merric” from Merrick and Rosso. Mez, as he is affectionately known, has worked at almost every radio and TV station in the country. You might have seen him recently getting smashed in the face on SAS Australia, Australia’s REAL reality show. Mez loves wine, so much so that he’s a qualified sommelier, with dreams of retiring to a big Chesterfield, smoking a cigar and drinking Cabernet.

If Grapes of Mirth falls in a Vineyard and DJ Pedro Moshman isn’t there to pick us up and get us dancing, did GoM really ever happen? No, it did not. No Pedro, No Party.
